






Carvel Creative - Building brand awareness for a talented design and manufacturing start-up
For this start-up, the challenge was developing a brand identity physically capable of representing the materials and methods employed by the team across various processes of design and fabrication techniques. The identity needed to respond effortlessly to these fabrication processes and technologies.
As lead designer, responsibilities included the development of conceptual directions, the presentation of work to the team, and roll out of the design program. The development of the brand included the design of identity materials, supporting visual language, and illustrated elements. Contributions in defining the ethos of the company was made, helping establish brand personality through visual and textual attributes.
A distinctive and contemporary mark was created that positioned the team in a professional and credible manner. The clear, minimal brand identity exceeded expectations, translating effectively across material and media including cnc-based processes, laser cutting, and 3D printing techniques.
